Jennifer Johnston announced that Debbie Aurelia has resigned from the NCAC.  She asked members to encourage people interested in serving on the NCAC to send in their resume.

Jennifer reported that she received an invoice from the Edmond Town Hall Board of Managers for the full $3,200 per show for use of the theater for the Flagpole Radio Café performances.

Linda Watson reviewed the NCAC financial statement through mid-October 2009.

Linda also suggested opening a NCAC facebook account with a link to the website to assist us in sharing information and promoting events.

Donna Mangiafico reported that the conference room at Town Hall South was booked for the November and December NCAC meetings.  She will continue to search for meeting space for 2010 meetings.

Donna also announced that she has extended an invitation to the Kent Film Festival founders, Frank and Patrice Galterio, to join us at any of our meetings.  Donna will contact Newtown High School teachers to gauge their interest in participating in a student film series.

Jennifer Rogers discussed the NCAC Special Film Series.  Tom Mahoney agreed to discuss this with the Town Hall Board of Managers.  The NCAC would promote the movies, incur the cost of ordering them, approximately $400, and the Town Hall would keep the ticket and concession sales.  Jennifer will also look into renting outdoor screens to show movies at Fairfield Hills or Newtown parks.

Jennifer Rogers discussed The Last Supper tableau.  She suggested holding off further discussion until members have an opportunity to see the show in the spring.  She also reported that a Murder Mystery performance would be tabled until the fall of 2010.

Jennifer continues to seek advertisers and encouraged NCAC members to do the same.

Martin Blanco discussed the Flagpole Radio Café.  Two generous donations have been received from Newtown Savings Bank and Sippin Energy Products.

Emily Howard discussed the Newtown Cultural Arts Meet and Greet event.  She distributed a list of invitees for review and recommended venues and possible dates.  The date of January 11, 2010 was chosen.

Kate Katcher discussed the Play With Your Food staged professional readings of one-act plays and moderated question/answer period.  JIB Productions, Inc. proposed there be three events.  The first would be A Christmas Memory, Truman Capote’s autobiographical story of spending Christmas in the rural south during the Depression.  A luncheon was suggested.  The dates of December 14, 15, 16, or 17 were chosen.  Donna Mangiafico will contact the Town Hall Managers office to check on the availability of the Alexandria Room.
